Guide to writing messages.

To have a good conversation you need the right words.

Talking with others can be an enriching experience or one of the most confusing. As so many of us are talking, we must make sure that nobody Is offended by another's tone and that nobody's sensibilities are offended.

Barcelona Parla is open to all opinions provided that they are expressed in a pleasant and tolerant manner. For this reason, comments sent to Barcelona Parla are checked before being posted, so that basic principles of civil behaviour and form are followed.

Those which do not respect these principles will not be accepted.

We would like your comments to be:

  • Polite: giving opinions without being insulting, without personal disparagement and without using vulgar language.
  • Respectful to others:with contents which cannot be considered illegal or threatening, without expressions which could be considered offensive to human dignity, defamatory, libellous, racist, or accepting or inciting violence or illegal activities, or which are contrary to principles of tolerance and respect, or which are prejudicial to the rights of others.
  • Person to person:a full range of filters have been incorporated to avoid spam messages, that is, to avoid automatic chain messages of a commercial nature, which have nothing to do with the aim of Barcelona Parla.
  • About Barcelona:without advertising commercial products, profit-making activities of any type or with a commercial aim.
  • About things you are able to talk about:no material covered by copyright can be included, nor any material whose publication is prohibited by law.
